Congratulations Shelby Edwards and Maggie Laughlin!!

Both athletes qualified to the 2010 Junior Olympic National Championships to be
held in Dallas, TX on June 7th and 8th
Only the top 7 qualify per age division
Shelby and Maggie both qualified in the Jr. C age division which was the most diffifult division
of the Regional Competition!

Starting off 2010 with a Bang!!!

Carter's Gymnastics Team traveled all the way to 
Cincinnati, Ohio to compete in the Coaches Spectacular Competition hosted by Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy!!
Kiana Villa:  1st All Around and 1st Bars  Level 7
Shayna Edson:  1st All Around, 1st Bars, 1st BB Level 8
Maggie Laughlin:  1st All Around, 1st Floor Level 10
Alyssa Scholl:  2nd All Around Level 10
Shelby Edwards:  1st Beam Level 10
Harley Jensen: 1st Beam Level 10
Madison Lange:  1st Floor Level 8
Trista Smith :  3rd All Around, 1st Beam Level 7

Arizona's 2009 Most Outstanding Gymnast of the Year

2009 ARIZONA AWARDS BANQUET
      This was an exciting year for Carter’s Gymnastics Academy.  Both Carter’s athletes and coaches received several awards at the 2009 AZ State Banquet. 
Shelby Edwards was voted Arizona’s 2009 Most Outstanding Gymnast of the Year.  Shelby received this award after placing 2nd at the Junior Olympic Nationals earning her a spot on the Junior Olympic National Team.
Teammate Brittany Kinal and Margaret Laughlin were both recognized for their qualification to the Junior Olympic National Competition.  Qualification to this competition is difficult as only the top seven athletes from the region (Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah) qualify. 
Alexia Park (Level 7) and Alyssa Scholl (Level 10) were also recognized for their outstanding performances at the Arizona State Championship.  Alexia (the Level 7 State Champion) had one of the top All Around Scores of the entire competition regardless of age scoring an amazing 38.55.   Alyssa also won the AZ Level 10 State Championship competition.

4 inground pits and a "SUPER PIT" which was designed 
to create the ultimate gymnastics facility providing each event with pit accessibility!

Carter's Gymnastics Academy is owned and operated by Jack and Erin Carter. 
They are best known for having coached Olympian Kristen Maloney and are responsible 
for the success of numerous Elite and National level gymnasts.

For those interested in the best high level gymnastics training possible,
this is the place to be.

This site is designed to facilitate communication within the gym and with those who are 
interested in our gym and program.

It can also serve to provide our hard-working Team members with some of the 
recognition they so rightly deserve.
